01 / SUPPLY

Pump to cold port.

Blue-striped hose carries solution from the pump outlet to the cold-water service connection.

02 / RETURN

Hot port to bucket.

Red-striped hose returns solution to the same bucket, separate from the pump outlet.

Water-side service ports only.
Never connect a hose to gas hardware.

Fitting & safe-use notes

GHT is not NPT. Gasket-sealed hose swivels use their washer; do not add tape to the sealing face. Fit the supplied threaded adapter to the pump outlet. The black barb adapter is an alternative fitting, not an extra stage in this loop.

This overview does not replace the heater, pump or solution instructions. Isolate energy and water connections, cool and release pressure as your heater manufacturer requires. Follow the approved solution’s handling, temperature, circulation, rinse and disposal directions. Pump liquid temperature must not exceed 95°F. If unfamiliar with the procedure, use qualified service.

Keep electrical connections dry, use a properly grounded GFCI outlet and supervise operation. Keep the intake covered; never run dry or rely on automatic shutoff. Disconnect power before handling, complete the heater’s rinse/restoration procedure and never lift the pump by its cable.

Before you connect.

Is cleaning solution included?

No. Choose only a solution permitted for your specific water heater and compatible with the pump and hoses. Follow its quantity, temperature, handling and disposal instructions.

Will the supplied hoses fit every heater?

No universal fit is assumed. The supplied hoses use 3/4 in GHT connections. Confirm that your installed service or isolation valves accept the supplied hose ends; valves are not included.

How long should I circulate the solution?

Use the procedure for your exact heater and cleaning solution. There is no universal 30-minute cleaning time, and circulation time is not determined by the pump’s maximum flow rating.

Does the pump switch off automatically?

This is a manually controlled pump, not an automatic pressure-sensing system. Supervise operation and disconnect power before the liquid level falls too low. Never run dry.

Can I use the printed performance values as flushing flow?

No. They are pump reference values at stated head heights, not measured flow through a heater. Service valves, the heater water path, hose length and fittings change the operating point.

COMPARE THE TWO KITS

Choose the setup.
Not just the horsepower.

FSP250C-1A KIT: 1/4 HP pump and 4-gallon bucket. FSP400C-2 KIT: 1/2 HP pump and 5.3-gallon bucket. Both include two 6-foot stainless-steel hoses and a bucket lid opener.

Check bucket space, hose routing and your heater’s service connections. More horsepower does not guarantee a faster flush; follow the heater’s specified solution and procedure.
