CONTROL: Auto on. Auto off. Manual cleanup.

Cutaway illustrations show the internal float rising for automatic start above 4 inches and returning down for automatic stop at 2 inches. Lift the red selector UP for MANUAL, as shown in the close-up. Supervised manual operation lowers water to approximately 0.5 inch and does not stop automatically. Water levels are schematic, not to scale.

CONNECTION: Five ways to connect.

Five alternatives: 3/4 inch GHT garden hose, 1 inch NPT pipe, 1 inch (25 mm) ID hose with clamp, G1 threaded pipe after trimming, and 1-1/4 inch (32 mm) ID hose with clamp after trimming. Hose size affects flow: smaller hoses, including standard garden hoses, restrict flow. A larger-diameter discharge hose allows higher flow under the same conditions. Rated maximum flow is based on a 1-1/2 inch discharge hose. Actual flow also depends on lift height, hose length and fittings. NPT and G threads are different. Fit the check valve inside the pump outlet. Hoses and pipes are not included.

MAXIMUM FLOW
3,300 GPH
MAXIMUM HEAD

Maximum flow uses a 1-1/2 in discharge hose in a horizontal setup. Maximum flow and maximum head are separate limits.

Flow decreases as total head increases. Hose diameter, hose length and fittings also affect output.

FSP900C

FSP900C: BEFORE YOU CHOOSE.

Can the FSP900C be used as both a utility pump and a sump pump?

Yes. Use automatic mode for water-level-controlled sump drainage and manual mode for supervised utility cleanup. Match the water, lift and hose connection to the model-specific manual. It is not a sewage pump.

Does manual mode stop automatically when the water is low?

No. Manual mode runs continuously. Stay with the pump and disconnect it before it runs dry. Automatic mode responds to water level instead.

Is a garden hose included?

No. The package includes three couplings, a check valve and rope. Use the matching included fittings for the garden-hose connection shown in the manual; the hose is purchased separately.

Will it deliver 3,300 GPH at a lift of 29 feet?

No. Maximum flow and maximum head are separate limits. Delivered flow decreases with total head and is also affected by the hose diameter, hose length and fittings. Consult the performance information and the FSP900C manual.

Why is my flow lower than expected?

Start with the discharge hose diameter. Smaller hoses, including standard garden hoses, restrict flow. Rated maximum flow is based on a 1-1/2 in discharge hose, not a standard garden hose. Check for excessive hose length, high lift, sharp bends, kinks or blockages. Use a larger compatible discharge hose where practical, keep the route short and straight, and compare your lift with the model-specific performance information. Disconnect power before inspecting the intake, hose or check valve for debris. A larger hose can improve flow, but does not guarantee the rated maximum in every setup.

MANUALS & SUPPORT

Safe use & operating limits

Stand the pump upright on a firm, level surface, not loose gravel. Keep the discharge hose open and free of kinks or blockages. Use a properly grounded GFCI outlet and keep plugs and power connections dry.

Not for flammable, corrosive or hot liquids. Never operate with people in the pool. Manual mode does not stop automatically: stay with the pump and disconnect before dry running. Follow the manual’s water and installation limits.
